Sharing knowledge with the next generations of builders is always something Preston loved doing when he opened his shop in 2013. The trust he had in his crew’s abilities has made our journey, after his death, something that we could overcome and continue his legacy with pride and confidence. Cross training and sharing of skills among our staff is important to keep our team honed in the handcrafted skills it takes to bring you beautiful and exceptional sounding guitars made here in Sisters, Oregon.
There are many schools out there that educate interested individuals in guitar building. From the School of Lutherie – Galloup in Michigan, Red Wing Guitar Repair and Building program through Minnesota State College, Roberto- Venn School of Luthiery in Arizona, Vermont Instruments School of Lutherie and others. These schools facilitate education for students to enter into a career in instrument building. Our industry relies on these schools to provide individuals for future hire.
We are looking to add one more to our crew in the set-up department and are seeking an individual with a few years under their belt as a repair or set-up tech. If you are interested please message us at sales@pktguitars.com.
Check out our current crew and learn more about these individuals building your custom guitars.
Thank you to past and present crew members for their hard work and dedication! Gareth, Jesse, Jay, Jason, Simon, Kaleb, Joel, David, Scott, Peter, Jamison, Ryan, Olivia, Levi, Elias and Bud.
