We are happy to announce that Molly Tuttle has helped design her own Signature Dreadnought made out of Sinker Mahogany with special appointments and inlay.
To help design the guitar we talked about what inlay to create, color of the sunburst and other woods that were special to her. She sent us some photos of shell earrings and of a outfit, that was made especially for her, addorned with delicate palm leaves. She loved the images of the palms and wanted us to incorporate. Simon Haycraft, our inlay specialist, designed a subtle and elegant inlay using abalone that shared the same hues as the earrings Molly shared.
The rosette incorporates a redwood ring, which is a tree she grew up with all around her house including the ceiling of her bedroom. Redwood was a memory element that she wanted to bring to her signature model.
Molly loves the sound of mahogany and the sinker set bring it’s own added tone to this already beautiful guitar. Molly’s specs can be put on any model we carry from a 0000 to a Parlor sized guitar. Thank you to Molly for your style and talent! We will also be donating 1% of the proceeds to Molly’s favorite charity. She is working on selecting the organization and then we will post the information.
