This new guitar came out of an original build that Preston developed years ago calling it the Classical Hybrid. It was inspired by one of our customers wish to have something similar to Willie Nelson’s “Trigger” guitar that was modified many years ago for steel strings. We had this mold in our lineup, but had discontinued the Classical Hybrid for a variety of reasons. Recently we were talking about a smaller size type Dreadnought guitar for younger folks to play or really anyone that wanted a smaller bodied guitar that was slightly deeper than our 00 which resulted in the deep modified classical hybrid.
We added a blue/red rope top trim and a custom mahogany wood/blue fiber single ring rosette. Regency dot markers can be either in blue stone or blood wood with an outer ring of pearl. Tortoise binding and ebony backstrip on either a mahogany or rosewood back and sides with an Adirondack top. We can also customize this guitar model with your own vision with different appointments.
We put this guitar in the hands of lots of people at IBMA this year and other players during the Sisters Folk Festival and recently Darrell Scott played it next door at The Belfry!
