Deep Modified Classical Hybrid

The Preston Thompson Deep Modified Classical Hybrid was designed to be a crossover instrument. Developed for musicians that are seeking a guitar with the brilliance and balance of the finest classical guitars, it also offers several features that contribute to exceptional playability. This guitar has a similar body shape as the N-20 style/Trigger with an added deeper body for a powerful sound.

Built with respect for the most traditional aspects of the classical guitar the Thompson DMC is crafted with the finest woods and materials to achieve the best tone possible. As with all Thompson’s every top is hand graduated bringing out the utmost liveliness and character. The braces are hand-carved with precision to promote the most delicate of sound vibrations. The result is an incredibly responsive instrument with a sweet character and sustain. These instruments are built with forward shifted advance X-bracing pattern and the 25.4” scale length will be familiar to many acoustic steel-string players as well.

As standard, it is available with a custom rosette of blue fiber/mahogany, red/blue top trim, dark pickguard, tortoise binding, regency markers in blue stone or blood wood.  You can have it built with mahogany or rosewood – appointments are the same.  You can add at toner top like in the photos on the East Indian Rosewood.
