Thompson Electric TSM-52

In all the years of boutique guitar building, we’ve learned that our customers share our passion and appreciation for not only high end vintage acoustics, but electric guitars too.

Using quality materials and made by highly skilled craftsman we are excited to announce that we are offering a limited edition of 52 of our new Thompson Electric the TSM-52.

David Peto and Chris Neary regularly chatted with Preston about recreating the original solid body electric guitar from the early 1950’s.  The more the idea was discussed, the more interest levels grew and in 2018, talk turned into action.  Preston, David and Chris all worked through a round of prototypes while collecting market feedback from industry vets and the results are in – mission accomplished. Luxury T-style guitars share a few things in common. Premium hardwood and components, and in many cases, expert fit and finish. For T-style guitars, a boutique builder’s signature is their neck design.  The feel of the neck is what makes seemingly similar guitars worlds apart.  We invested over a year into design, prototyping and market research before launching. In Preston Thompson’s tradition these are replicas down to the lacquered Bakelite pickguards with flat head screws, but also include modern pickups that give our TSM-52’s a hotter output. Our guitars are designed with a more playable fingerboard radius that includes pocketed frets for structural integrity and improved comfort.  It’s the sum of these nuances that make ours stand out. Preston Thompson Guitars couldn’t be more excited to offer our new limited run of our (TSM-52) 52 Thompson signature T-style electric guitars.  As one of our Thompson offerings. Please call Chris Neary at 541-640-9919 or email him chris@thompsonelectrics.com for more information and to discuss what makes our TSM-52 a true one-of-a-kind.
