All Sinker Mahogany – 12 fret Parlor and 14 fret Single 0 – Short and Long Scale
We have (8) more sets of either Size 2 or Single 0 All Sinker Mahogany to make these special little guitars.
You can order either a 14 fret Single 0 – slotted or solid headstock (Long Scale) and a 12 fret Size 2 Parlor (Short Scale). Both of these small bodied guitars offer a nice mid range warmth, bluesy tonality and balance to add something so fun to your guitar collection… they are hard to put down as they are easy to play and noodle around with on the comfort of your couch. Their sweet sound and sustain is more powerful than you might think. The Size 2 Parlor is based upon a vintage 1892 model owned by Preston. We added a mahogany bind and mahogany rosette to keep the woodsy feel to both of these guitars.
Sinker mahogany comes from the rivers in Belize and right now the stock is in short supply due to Covid shutdowns and permits that are hard to acquire. These logs have to be dreaded up by local crews and then dried – all taking time to ultimately funnel into guitar makers hands. We hope a new supply is forthcoming in 2024 for larger bodied guitars.
