Some photos of Wintergrass in the past – we look forward to heading that way this year with Gareth and Alexi at the booth. This is our only NW festival we attend and Preston really enjoyed being able to talk to customers and getting feedback starting in 2015. Nice to have a place that bluegrass fans can play and take a closer look at our guitars in person. Last year we had a suite, but this year we are back with a booth on the Grand Ballroom level.
One our newest artist, Darrell Scott, will be playing a Dreadnought from the booth – he recently purchased an OM with a special bear inlay, but is part of a bluegrass band so requires a bigger sound from a dreadnought. Looking forward to this year and hearing Hawktail with Jordan Tice, Never Come Down and many others.
We have had some great times over the years meeting up with Billy Strings, Peter Rowan, Tim Stafford and many more. This was one of our favorite moments at Wintergrass in 2019 – what an amazing line up of musicians, so fun to hear the stories about their guitars!
Last year 2022 – Peter Rowan gave an interview on stage – https://youtu.be/tr9VFVVCW9g and we recorded a portion of it and we were able to meet the women of Della Mae and offer up them guitars to play during their sets. So many talented musicians came by our suite, it really energized us to talk about what we do the rest of the year in the shop.
